So I intern for Games for Change, this awesome non-profit organization which helps promote social impacting video games. We held a game design contest which would be used to assist an unmanned rocket land on the moon. Anyways, we opened up voting to the public this year for the People’s Choice Award. Please vote for your favorite of the three finalists and you can also possibly win tickets to next year’s Games for Change Festival in 2015! Thanks for your time.
A female doctor came to our department’s weekly meeting today, to give a lecture on women’s health issues.
At first, the PowerPoint slides were laden with typical sex-ed imagery. Eggs wandering down Fallopian tubes, sperms meeting eggs. Next to me, a young colleague nodded and made little sounds…
This is such a serious issue in China. All of it. The lack of sex ed, and the giggling fits due to feeling uncomfortable.
